AXA : Souscription à l'opération AXA Asia Pacific Holdings

(CercleFinance.com) - a confirmé mardi son intention de souscrire à l'augmentation de capital de sa filiale Asia Pacific Holdings à hauteur de sa participation d'environ 53%, ce qui correspond à un montant d'environ 178 millions d'euros.

Le géant français de l'assurance précise dans un communiqué que l'opération n'aura pas d'impact sur son ratio de solvabilité 'I'.

Le
groupe ajoute que l'opération n'aura pas d'impact significatif sur la liquidité d' SA, Asia Pacific Holdings devant utiliser une partie des fonds pour rembourser environ 107 millions d'euros d'un prêt existant à SA.

Asia Pacific Holdings ( APH) a annoncé ce matin une augmentation de capital de 660 millions de dollars australiens (soit quelque 332 millions d'euros).

Britains save billions on holidays by haggling

Britains are beating the credit crunch and saving £1.7 billion each year by haggling on their holiday.Research carried out by hotel website Hotels.com revealed the figure and found that 76% of Brits got a bargain on their last break.

They calculated that the average traveller managed to save themselves £32.20 per holiday, a combined saving of £1.7 billlion per year.It was also revealed that us Brits are no longer saving haggling for holiday souvenire but are demanding lower prices on a range of goods and services.

When it comes to clothing and souvenirs from markets, 82% haggle, which 34% haggle on the cost of hotel room upgrades, and 42% try to get lower prices on taxis and car hire.Across Europe we are the best at sniffing out a bargain.

The Irish come in at the bottom with 56% of regular hagglers.Alison Couper, Director of Communications at Hotels.com, says: 'Haggling is fast becoming a buzz word for 2009.
